The Green Roaster Coffees

It’s all in the name. We call ourselves the “Green” Roaster for a number of reasons. One, un-roasted coffee beans are of course green. That is until you get hold of them and roast them to perfection. Second, since you are likely just learning about the process of home coffee roasting we may refer to you as a “Green” Roaster. At least for a while – pretty soon you’ll be a pro. Lastly, our purchasing philosophy is to make “Green” business decisions wherever possible.

To provide the finest quality green coffee, home roasting equipment and service to our customers while making “Green” business choices that fairly reward farmers for producing premium coffee in an environmentally sustainable manner.

To promote the benefits and rewards of home coffee roasting so that it can become established in as many homes as possible.

Our Philosophy:

At The Green Roaster we believe that coffee is more than just a commodity: coffee is an experience. We believe that home roasting is the best way to truly experience a superior cup of coffee. The home roaster has the ability to choose top quality product, to nurture it through the delicate roasting process (to his or her preferred degree of roast) and to enjoy it in the cup while still fresh. These are the critical steps over which the average coffee drinker has no control.
